The invitation to the party comes with a stipulation: don`t bring Lulu. However, Lulu has ideas of her own.The film is based on the 1920’s song about flappers who broke with Victorian era social restrictions, and smoked, drank, had sex and partied. What happened that this brief burst of independence was lost in the move towards women’s equality? The film celebrates this short burst of freedom and reflects on centuries of struggle for women to be able to do as they wish.
